A big thank you.....
... to all our guests, owners and staff who have believed in us since the beginning of the Corona Virus and who have encouraged and supported us. Many thanks to all the guests who accepted a credit note for the payments made for the contracts during last spring and who could not take place, many thanks to all the owners who, when it seemed that the season would be completely cancelled, promised us their support, many thanks to all the guests who came and saved our season. Thanks to all those who encouraged us with e-mails, phone calls and personally and who brightened up our days. Thanks also to all those who had move, for various reasons, their holiday on one of our boats, even if the frontiers were open again. Last but not least, a big (virtual!) hug to all our team who tirelessly disinfected and re-disinfected our boats.......and not only!
Now the latest developments of the pandemic seem dark again, but with the positive experience of 2020 and all the fantastic people around us, we are looking forward to the coming season. We wish you all a healthy life, and we hope you will soon be back to sailing again.....
Did you know that……….
the island of Elba, together with the other smaller islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, nestled in the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea, are located in the center of the Sanctuary of Cetaceans, an important marine protected area that involves three nations: Italy, France and Monaco. This marine park, which covers more than 90,000 square kilometers, aims to protect the cetaceans of these seas such as the Whale, Cachalote, Dolphin, Globicephalus, Stenella, bottlenose dolphin and others marine mammal species.
This area, called Pelagos Sanctuary and classified as a Special Protected Area of Mediterranean Interest, extends from Sardinia in a north-westerly direction up to the Côte d'Azur and in a north-easterly direction up to the southern coast of Tuscany. The island of Elba and the Tuscan archipelago, as well as Corsica, are therefore in a privileged position in this protected area where it lives in a suitable environment, the most concentrated colony of sea mammals in the Mediterranean.
For this reason many crews return with our boats, after a cruise in the waters of the Tuscan archipelago, telling us of fantastic navigations accompanied by festive dolphins and impressive sightings of whales.
Of course you also need a bit of luck, but those who do not try get nothing.
Today we have received a help-call! Unfortunately, a guest of us, an experienced skipper, was abandoned by his crew! He has booked the Bavaria 50 Cruiser "Nina Katharina" for three weeks from 10.08. until 31.08.2019. Who likes to join him or take over the charter in whole or in part? Of course the price will be very interesting. For details, please contact the charter base directly: Tel: + 39-0565-914198.

And another new entry for 2019
After some trembling because of the now fortunately averted Bavaria Yachts bankruptcy, we can announce yet: a brand new Bavaria 46 Cruiser will join from the beginning of May 2019 to our fleet. She is a sister ship to "Papillon" and will be called "MINA"! Four spacious cabins, three bathrooms and a separate shower can comfortably accommodate eight people below deck.
The first firm bookings have already been received. Do not hesitate to contact our information office to know the periods still available . Details about this yacht can be found here and on the datasheet. We will also put the price list 2019 online soon. Until then, you can ask the prices in our information office.
...this will be the name of the new Bavaria 34 Cruiser that will be added to our fleet by 2019. Like a terrace and a sailing workstation in one – that is the cockpit area on the BAVARIA CRUISER 34. With twin steering wheel and enough room for everything, it is equally suitable for relaxing during breaks at sea and in ports as well as for performing the job of sailing itself. With ergonomic cockpit seats that stave off fatigue even after several hours – and make relaxing even more relaxed. No compromises below deck. In the 2-cabin version of the CRUISER 34 you have all the amenities you need below deck for a cruise. A large, bright saloon – thanks to loads of natural light. A functional galley and a corner for the skipper to work and do planning. In short, a space with many well-conceived options.

Our booking office allready receives daily requests for the year 2019 and not just for GAIA.

Lady Lale has set sail towards new horizons!
A very nice swiss family is the new owner of Lady Lale and has left middle of july the mooring in our nautical base to plow new waters. In the next 12 months they will live on board and we are sure they will encounter exciting adventures sailing the blue waters of the Mediterranean. But before the arrival of the cold winds they will have to decide whether to take the route towards warmer seas.
We wish the crew of Lady Lale a safe sailing with the winds that always blow from the right direction.
Our motto: Look after your safety equipment so it can look after you! From 2018 you will find on board of all our boats inflatable automatic life jackets. Following suggestions of several of our guests and a thorough evaluation, we opted for yes and passed to our supplier (Crewsaver of Survitec group) a maxi order of inflatable life jackets 165 N with harness.
Of course we didn’t forget to order, for the little sailors, junior’s jackets as well. So even our youngest crew members will be able to move on deck without being embarrassed in the movements, even in the hottest months.
We are pleased to inform you that our company is qualified to install and test gas systems on board of yachts. The European Community laws prescribes gas plants on board of pleasure crafts used commercially, have to be tested by a qualified expert every two years. When tested, our technician issue a certificate confirming the perfect functioning of the plant. Our clients find the certificate together with the boat’s documents. Furthermore a plate with the date for the next revision is applied to the gas plant. An additional security for the crews.
The buffet is open. So it is said on great occasions

11 december 2015 - 9.10 am - arrival at Portoferraio
After a long trip through Germany and France on a huge truck and the launching in Fréjus (South of France), “PAPILLON” arrived this morning at our charter base in Portoferraio (Island of Elba). On board the expert skipper Hugues, our technician Patrice JR and Stefan the owner of the Bavaria 46 Cruiser. The crossing had to be made under engine because in spite of the promising weather issued by several weather forecast, the wind never blow. However the crew was partially rewarded with a sunny day and a starry sky during the night. Thanks the powerful Volvo 75 HP engine and the three-bladed propeller, the crossing of 180 nm could be sailed in less than 24 hours. Now “PAPILLON” will be equipped according to the high standard as all our charter boats in order to be ready to allow our guests comfortable, fast and safe sailing.
